<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">Energy conservation is the best way to help your utility bills and the environment at the same time.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  Start by i</span>nsulating your windows with insulated window treatments.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>This can be done with anything that creates layering or dead air space.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Remember how we add layers of clothing in the winter?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>This is the same idea for your windows.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>These layers create warmth and dead air.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Dead air space in window treatments is created by adding layers of lining to draperies or shades and honeycomb cells.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">Let the natural light come into your rooms rather than using electricity during the day. The most effective light comes in through the top of your windows.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Use window treatments that only cover the bottom of your window for privacy while keeping the top open for that important light to stream in.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Top down/bottom up shades accomplish this. Also finding shades that diffuse the light helps protect from UV fading and softens the light in the room so the light is more usable.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">Choosing shades that are made from renewable resources is a good environment saver.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>We have woven shades that are made from bamboo, reeds, and grasses.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Some shades are even made from recyclable material.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">Recycled fabrics are now available.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Some fabrics are woven in the U.S. of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>These fabrics decrease the amount of waste in landfills and diminish energy consumption in producing new materials.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
