I occasionally have a customer ask   ”Is there really a Jane Bateman”?  It seems like a ridiculous question to me  but with all the  chain stores, it probably doesn’t seem that ridiculous  to the customer.   We started this business 32 years ago by buying the window treatment and upholstery part of the business from Bud Jennings.  He had a local carpet/window treatment store and wanted to expand his business in flooring without having the window treatments.

We have been in this location for 27 years and love every aspect of window treatments.  We like being local and  we like helping customers on their second, third and maybe even their fourth house.  We enjoy the personal interaction with our customers.  They become friends.  They bring me iris from their flower garden to plant in my flower garden.  I give them books I think they would enjoy.

So we are not a chain but instead just a local company that has been in business in Lawrence for a long time.  We love taking care of our customers and always like to hear when you are enjoying your windows treatments.  Give us a call anytime.
