Sometimes I write about colors but seeing colors is best. Words can create a different image in my mind than yours. But the picture says it all. Here are some photos from Robert Allen Duralee Group.
Linen and linen blends in beautiful colors. All the fabrics are a solid color but you can see the texture and depth of these colors in the way the fabric is woven.
All of these fabrics are neutral but they have so much depth with the range of neutral fibers used and the way the patterns are woven. We would say that these are “tone on tone” colors – meaning all the same color in one fabric but a range of the same colors to give the fabric a pattern and texture.
Another lovely photo of earth tone colors. The variation of color is soothing and helps to blend with other colors in your room.
And finally a room setting. Pattern on the sofa, the ottoman, the pillows, the lamp shade, and the plates. It is fun to see how all the colors and patterns can be put together in a pleasing way.
