We love adding new displays in our showroom. It is so much easier to see an example of a new window treatment when it is sewn and hanging on the wall than it is to imagine it in our minds. And we always add new displays for our open house we have in the fall. So if you didn’t see our new displays at our 40th celebration this year, here is a description of some displays we added.
We sell a lot of shades and blinds that do a good job of controlling the light and privacy. But it is always nice to have a fabric valance to add to the top of the treatment to soften the look. Details like a tucked pleat with a button are a simple way to add interest.
Adding large cording at the top of the board that matches the small flange at the bottom of the pleat in a contrast color will call your attention to the pleats and softness of the treatment.
The cuff valance can use two different fabrics or, as in this case, the same fabric front and back with a contrasting cording that emphasizes the flowing shape of the hem and the cuff. In this valance the twisted rope look in a decorative rod is an added feature.
A contrast lining fabric in navy will bring an accent to the window. Often that accent color can be repeated in the décor of the room by adding pillows, area rugs, or accent painted walls.
A soft flowing scallop, self-lined soft jabots, and same color cording all add to a finished look without being busy looking.
What a fun way to celebrate 40 years of helping you visualize that just right window treatment that will last for years and years. Give us a call and we can help you visualize.
